Son

Yes My father’s devotion to the New Haven school system and the students under his care was one of his greatest joys in life. His basketball legacy. My father had a life long positive effect on so many of the students that passed through Cross and Hillhouse high school. As recently as last week a medical office receptionist asked me if I was related to “Red” Verderame when she saw my name. She told me that both her and her father attended Hillhouse and they remembered my father as an exceptional educator.
