Welcome Message from Brennan Rogers School of Communication and Media

Brennan-Rogers has been a staple in the West Rock community since it began as the Katherine Brennan School in the 1950s. It partnered with Clarence Rogers school in 2010 and is now home to bright and talented students in grades Pre-K – 8. Brennan-Rogers proudly serves students throughout New Haven as an intra-district magnet school; however, students in surrounding towns are also welcome to enroll in our school through the ACES Open Choice program.

Our Brennan-Rogers staff is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment where our students are inspired to work collaboratively, demonstrate resilience in their efforts, show empathy toward others, and work hard to showcase their understanding in a variety of ways through our hands-on approach to learning. We believe in equity at Brennan-Rogers and are dedicated to providing meaningful and authentic experiences for all of our students which will prepare them to become globally competitive in any college, career or life path that they choose. Our careful attention to social-emotional health and use of restorative practices also help build confidence in our students and equip them with the tools that they need to thrive and achieve at their personal best in all that they do.

Our motto at Brennan-Rogers is, “We are crew!” A racing boat can only reach its optimal speed when each of its members work together – in the same direction – to accomplish their goal of winning the race. This school year, we look forward to rowing together with your family, as part of our school community, to successfully meet our academic goals. On behalf of our faculty and staff, we welcome your family to Brennan-Rogers School as we move forward into the 2023-2024 school year.
