Welcome Message from East Rock School

Dear East Rock Parents/Guardians,

We hope you are enjoying a safe, restful and joyful summer!

We are writing to let you know that our Back-to-School Orientation sessions have been scheduled for August. These orientations are valuable opportunities to meet some staff, learn about school-wide expectations, and receive important information about the upcoming school year.

Orientations:

Please join us for our “in-person” orientations so you can learn about all the wonderful things planned at East Rock for the 2025-2026 school year and how you and your family can help our community grow.

Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 5:00 PM

Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM

 

The orientations will take place in our school’s cafetorium. Please enter through the back of the school.

We strongly encourage all families to attend an orientation. Your presence helps ensure a smooth transition back to school and sets the tone for a successful year for your child.

The first day of school is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, 2025. The first day is a full school day. Our school day begins at 7:55 am and ends at 2:10 pm. Students may enter the building as early as 7:40 am.

Our pre-kindergarten students’ first day will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025. If you have questions related to preschool, please call the School Readiness Department at 203-946-7875

 

Please note that all students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten and Grade 7 must provide proof of updated immunizations and physical exams on or before the first day of school. If you have any questions about this, please call the Health Department at 203-946-7301.

 

Finally, please remember that East Rock is a uniform school and all students should wear their uniforms daily. Uniforms consist of khaki or navy bottoms and white or navy collared shirts. Gym uniforms are white or navy tops and black, gray or navy sweatpants. If you have questions, please contact us at 475-220-5900.

Les escribimos para informarles que nuestras sesiones de orientación para el regreso a clases han sido programadas para el mes de agosto. Estas orientaciones son una excelente oportunidad para conocer a algunos miembros del personal, informarse sobre las expectativas escolares y recibir información importante sobre el nuevo año escolar.

Las orientaciones se llevarán a cabo en la cafetería/auditorio de nuestra escuela. Por favor, entren por la parte trasera del edificio..

 

Recomendamos encarecidamente que todas las familias asistan a una de las sesiones. Su participación contribuye a una transición exitosa al nuevo año escolar y ayuda a establecer un ambiente positivo para el aprendizaje de sus hijos.

 

El primer día de clases será el jueves 28 de agosto de 2025. Será un día escolar completo. Las clases comienzan a las 7:55 a.m. y finalizan a las 2:10 p.m. Los estudiantes pueden ingresar al edificio a partir de las 7:40 a.m..

 

Para los estudiantes de Pre-Kínder, el primer día será el martes 2 de septiembre de 2025. Si tiene preguntas relacionadas con el programa preescolar, por favor comuníquese con el Departamento de Preparación Escolar al 203-946-7875.
