Dear Troup Families:

Welcome back to the 2025-2026 academic year at A.L. Troup School. We are pleased to have our students returning to the building. Our teachers are preparing an exciting year of learning for your children that will include hands-on activities, intervention/enrichment, discourse between students and more positive learning experiences.

We will hold an orientation for grades K-8 on Tuesday, August 26 at 10:00am and 1:00pm. In the event you cannot attend orientation, an orientation video will be available on Wednesday, August 25. You will receive a link to the video via Apptegy, our new district communication platform. In addition, the link will post to our social media pages. Once students return to school, emergency forms for parents/guardians to complete and return, information about ordering Troup t-shirts and the family handbook will go home with students. Our transportation department will mail bus information the week prior to school beginning.

All students in grades K-8 will return to school on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Your child’s teacher will contact you prior to the start of school. They will inform you of what supplies your child may need. This is a reminder all students entering grades K and seven must have updated physicals and immunizations prior to school beginning. Also, it is imperative that all students report on the first day of school. Missing days in the beginning of the school year may cause your child to be chronically absent by the end of the school year. We did an amazing job last school year decreasing our chronically absent number. Please collaborate with us ensuring and encouraging your child to attend school daily, beginning August 28, 2025.
